A Student visa requires an Offer of Place from an accredited institution, sufficient funds for fees and living costs, and health and character requirements.
A Post-Study Work Visa may become available to eligible graduates, generally tied to the level and nature of the qualification completed.
Work route
The Skilled Migrant Category assesses applicants on points reflecting factors such as skilled employment, qualifications and experience. Accredited Employer Work Visas provide a temporary route tied to a specific employer.
New Zealand periodically revises its skilled migration settings, so the current points structure and eligible occupation list should be confirmed against the official immigration authority at the time of application.
