Türkiye is a growing study and work destination for Pakistani applicants, with a process that runs partly through the e-Visa and residence permit systems rather than a single consular visa category.
Study route
Students generally require a student visa from the Turkish mission before travel, obtained on the strength of an acceptance letter from a Turkish institution, followed by a residence permit application after arrival for the duration of study.
Work route
A work permit is generally employer-sponsored, applied for either from Pakistan through the Turkish mission or, in some circumstances, from within Türkiye if the applicant already holds a valid residence permit. The employer’s application and the applicant’s application are generally linked and reviewed together.
Certain professional and investor categories carry their own distinct requirements outside the standard employer-sponsored route.
What Pakistani applicants should prepare early
- Acceptance letter from the Turkish institution for study routes
- Employer documentation for work permit applications
- Residence permit application submitted promptly after arrival where required
- Educational and professional documents, translated and notarised as required
How WaleedMJ Law helps
WaleedMJ Law is based in Lahore and advises on the Pakistan-side legal and documentary requirements of an application — attestation, police clearance, educational document verification, powers of attorney and coordinating with the destination country’s process. We are not licensed to practise immigration law in this jurisdiction and do not represent clients before its immigration authority; where destination-country legal advice is needed, we say so and point you toward it rather than proceeding regardless. Final decisions rest entirely with that country’s immigration authority, and we do not promise, guarantee or predict any outcome.
